Short wave quartz halogen and medium wave quartz tungsten gas emitters are high-intensity infrared heaters. They provide the high temperatures necessary for fast-moving processes. These include paint-curing in the automotive industry, drying or curing adhesives and plastics processing. These fast-response, powerful elements heat up in seconds, converting input power into efficient radiant heat immediately. Their precise output control makes them ideal for forming and curing plastics and for use in directional heating systems with short cycle times.
Normally used for industrial processes that require rapid heating and/or zone-controlled heating. Quartz elements heat up in seconds, which is much faster than ceramic heaters. This makes them particularly efficient and effective for manufacturing processes such as plastic thermoforming and curing, as well as for heater systems with long off cycles.
These heaters are filled with halogen gas to allow the supported tungsten filament to reach temperatures as high as 2250°C (4082°F).
With peak wavelength emissions of approximately 1 micron, they are extremely penetrative and allow rapid on/off cycles.
These short wave emitters are filled with halogen gas to allow the supported tungsten filament to reach temperatures as high as 2410°C (4370°F).
